Alum of the Month: 2018 Commencement Speaker Miki Reynolds ‘98
Director of Alumni Relations Vicki Bargagliotti recently had the opportunity to catch up with Reynolds to learn more about her career and recent achievements.
Since graduating from Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School, Miki Reynolds ’98 has been finding and creating success in all that she does, using her creativity and innovation to identify gaps and work to fill them. As the Executive Director of Grid 110, a non-profit that she co-founded, she supports startups by connecting them with various resources, such as office space, mentors, etc. to help them flourish. In December 2017, she was honored by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti as one of the six women serving as a catalyst for change in Los Angeles as part of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day.
Reynolds has spent most of her career working in technology, ranging form digital marketing to software development and e-commerce for MGM Studios and 20th Century Fox. She has been a featured speaker at Creative Mornings, General Assembly, Silicon Beach Fest and Innovate L.A.
While at SJND, Reynolds was the Senior Class President and played basketball all four years. During her senior year, she was named Player of the Year and was coached by the late Stephen Arlett whom she has a deep respect and appreciation for. She still considers her SJND classmates as some of her closest friends. Reynolds was the first in her family to go to college, attending UCLA where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.
For relaxation, Reynolds enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs and has recently taken up weightlifting.
