April is Bringing More Exciting Opportunities to Enjoy and Support All of The Arts at SJND

The Spring Festival of Visual Arts, the Spring Festival of Music, and annual Mini Musicals are coming up at the end of the month.

Visual Arts: Come enjoy this gallery-style reception and public showing of student artwork in Notre Dame Hall on Tuesday, April 24 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  Under the guidance of Mr. Mark Ritter and Ms. Joanne Osterberg, Visual Arts students will provide a feast for your eyes by displaying hundreds of pieces of artwork.

*Postcard Art Sale: Please make sure to stop by and support the Second Annual Postcard Art Sale service learning event. A special section of our exhibition will be dedicated to the display and sale of 5”x7” original student art. The cost for each piece will be $10 and all proceeds will go to benefit the Oakland Elizabeth House, a residential transitional program for women with children who have experienced homelessness, violence addiction or poverty. We hope to see you in Notre Dame Hall On Tuesday April 24 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.!

Music: The Spring Festival of Music will take place on Thursday, April 26 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the SJND Kelly Gymnasium.  Under the direction of Ms. Paula Cekola, students will present original compositions as well as an array of ensemble works.  Be ready to tap your toes and hum along with some popular tunes and funky beats.

Musical Theater:  Ms. Lauren Rosi will lead students from our Musical Theater department as they perform mini musicals on Sunday, April 29 in two separate performances at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Performances will take place in the Georgia M. Vlahos Rehearsal Studio in Marianist Hall.
