Ingenuity and Variety Showcased at Club Rush
Ingenuity was in the air as SJND students promoted a vast variety of school clubs at the annual Club Rush. From the Environmental Awareness Club to the Interact Club, students took the opportunity to sign up and become members of SJND's community of student-run clubs and honor societies.
Each organization was represented by an engaging booth. Junior Sophie Freitas ’18, an officer of our literary magazine PRISMS, wrote on-the-spot poems, including this one for science teacher Mrs. Taylor:
life is like biology
a science that is always changing
A new club, Feeding America, had over 100 sign-ups with plans to volunteer at the Food Bank along with another new club, Culinary Exploration. The National Art Honor Society celebrated Mother Theresa's Canonization by making silk screen poster prints of Saint Teresa.
Many clubs have already started planning their year filled with canned food drives, blood drives, chess tournaments, Karaoke, conferences and symposiums, and potlucks. If you are an alum interested in coming to speak with any of our clubs, or work in an organization that can help support our clubs, please contact Director of Alumni Relations Vicki Bargagliotti.
