A Message from Principal Simon Chiu

Dear Alumni, Families and Friends,

Last week, we hosted our spirited Open House, welcoming many prospective students and their families onto the SJND campus. Many of our current students and parents as well as our alumni were on hand to help share our school community. It was a great day and a shining example of the warm and welcoming community we are so lucky to have at SJND.

November means so many great school events here. For our students, this first week of November is Proud to Be a Pilot Week, also known as P2BAP. It's a spirit week filled with dress up days and special lunchtime games and events, culminating in our Homecoming Dance on November 8, when our Homecoming Court will be announced and crowned.

Homecoming extends to our alumni as well. Join us for homecoming games, including our always exciting alumni soccer and basketball games November 26 and November 28. The Friday basketball games showcase our current and past basketball players, many of whom have earned college scholarships for their talent.

In early December our Winter Festival of the Arts will feature our students' wide range of performing and visual arts talents. I hope you are able to come see our Pilots in action at these events.

My blessings to you and your family as we approach the Thanksgiving season. Once again this year, we'll enjoy a Thanksgiving holiday from November 22-30. I hope you, your families and friends enjoy this long break together and find opportunities to give thanks for the graces you have received and the blessings that God has given to all of us.
