Pilots Compete in Rotary Club of Alameda Speech Contest

SJND students pose after the Rotary Club of Alameda's speech contest.

Congratulations to SJND students, Daire Donohoe '21, Qiunton Owyang '18 and Joseph Picchi '18 who competed in the Rotary Club of Alameda's Richard D. King High School Student Speech Contest. The students spoke to an audience of Rotary Club members and SJND supporters about a person who has made a difference in their community or state.

All three students received scholarship money prizes, with Donohoe placing third, Owyang placing second, and Picchi coming away with the first place prize. Picchi advances to the regional speech contest, which will take place in Piedmont next month.
