Seniors Honored in National Hispanic Recognition Program
By Bridget Redmond '21
Congratulations to seniors Diego Salgues and Harrison Sims who have been recognized by the National Hispanic Recognition Program for their outstanding academic achievement! Diego and Harrison are two of about 7,000 high school students of Hispanic/Latinx descent nationwide that were honored in the 2019 program.
The College Board’s National Recognition Programs are academic honors that colleges use to identify academically-exceptional students. To be invited to apply for the programs, students must be African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, attend school in a rural area, or be from a small town; have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; and meet the qualifying score on the PSAT/NMSQT exam.
From all of us at SJND, congratulations, Diego and Harrison! Go Pilots!
