Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School’s Women’s Volleyball program hosted its 10th Annual Dig Pink Match to support breast cancer research on October 11, 2019. Dig Pink at SJND is a friendly volleyball match between the Lady Pilots and Encinal High School. All proceeds from the event, including game entrance, t-shirt sales and donations, support Side-Out Foundation, which raises awareness and funds for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.

“We love hosting the annual Dig Pink volleyball match,” said Varsity Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Nicky Hagan. “Not only is [Dig Pink] a great way to get the volleyball team and student body involved in community service and philanthropy, but it’s another way to bring the SJND community together to support an important cause while playing and watching the sport we love,” she explained.

This year’s event raised over $3,000, surpassing the team’s fundraising goal of $2,000. Over the past 10 years, SJND’s Dig Pink event has raised over $23,000 for Side-Out, which funds clinical trials to beat breast cancer.

Thank you to the Pilot community for your continued support of this event!
