SJND Marianist Brothers Celebrate 60th Jubilee

On June 6, Brother Robert Juenemann (pictured left), a tireless supporter of SJND, and two other SJND Marianist brothers will be honored at a jubilee celebration of their 60th anniversaries as Marianists. Brother Stanley Murakami, a former, long-time teacher at Saint Joseph High School and the boy school's last Marianist principal, as well as Brother Thomas Deasy '54 will also be honored for their 60 years of service. You can read Bro. Deasy's reflections on his years as a Marianist here.

The Marianists were the founding order that established St. Joseph High School in the 1930s. Though Marianist brothers no longer work directly with students at the high school, they enjoy a tremendous legacy with our alumni. Indeed Marianist Hall, the former "boys school," is named in their honor.

Along with the Marianist community, we celebrate their years of service in and beyond our school. In addition to the SJND Marianists celebrating their 60th, the Jubilee celebration will honor other Marianist brother anniversaries including Fr. Joseph Stefanelli (75 years), Bro. Gary Morris and Bro. Lawrence Scrivani (50 years), Fr. Lawrence Mann (70 years), and Fr. Robert Hackel (50 years).
