SJND Students Travel to the East Coast to Visit Historical Sites and Colleges
During spring break, thirteen SJND students traveled to Boston to learn more about our nation’s history and visit colleges. Social Studies teachers Mr. Troy Bristol and Mr. Ryan Rosso led the trip. The students visited Plymouth, New Hampshire, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum and other historic sites along the Freedom Trail. This trip gave students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of our country and experience the sites they have read about in person.
The trip also included college tours of Boston College, Boston University, and Harvard University led by Dr. Angelica Bailon. Ms. Lauren Rosi, who attended college in Boston, provided additional insight into the city of Boston. To cap off the Boston experience, the group enjoyed a baseball game at Fenway Park between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, one of the most storied rivalries in American sports.
